works fine on a 6 string steel - does not work well on a 12 string

While meant for classical guitar, I was hoping the longer reach would work on a 12 string (steel)...it does not. It cannot catch the small 12th string. But it works well with a 6 string - the spring is firm enough to clamp down firmly, the long handle make it easy to engage, and there is no buzzing. You need to adjust a bit more carefully in a dropped D tuning. It holds well, even way up the neck. The part of the capo itself that sits on the strings, is quite thick - consider that as it is not unobtrusive and may affect one person more than another.

Quicker than a Shubb

This is a nice "Kyser-style" capo for a classical / nylon string guitar. I got this to try out since I've only ever used a Shubb C1 capo on my classical guitar. This one really surprised me - the quality of the build and finish seem quite good. The rubber is soft and clean. After trying it out, it is very suitable for a classical guitar neck / fretboard. I was concerned there might be buzzing or tuning issues, but this sounds and feels no different from a properly-adjusted Shubb capo. With the added bonus of it being faster to put on, take off and move. I have had to replace the rubber parts on my Shubb a couple of times. So let's see how long this one lasts (I'm guessing a long time). No issues with it at all, so I'm giving it 5 stars.

The Capo functions perfectly and keeps all the correctly tuned strings with the correct sound

Just played a few songs using this Guitar Capo. It functioned perfectly and kept all the strings with the correct sound. You can tell by holding this Capo in your hand and looking at it that it is extremely well made. If you are in need for a Guitar Capo this is the one!

Solid firm grip

This is my first capo purchase. The item has a nicely finished metal body, with smooth rubber surfaces where it clamps onto your guitar. When opened all the way, the capo just barely slips onto my Yamaha C40. You do need to firmly keep the capo open all the way in order for it to have free clearance to not rub sideways on the guitar or its string.
