Very Strong Capo for Changing the Key When Playing Mandolin or Ukelele!

I have played mandolin for 45 years and never had a capo. When I needed to change keys to play chords with a song, I just didn't play. I waited for them to get back in the keys played simply, like D,A,G and C. I ordered this to put in my mandolin case and take to jam sessions but tested it and it compresses the steel strings well enough to get clean, clear chords when played with a capo. I'll have it with me wherever I go.

Looks Sharp, Works Flawlessly

Right out of the package, the zinc alloy has a smooth matte finish with no sharp edges. It’s compact and low-profile, so it stays out of the way while playing — something I definitely appreciate. The spring is strong enough to hold all four strings cleanly, but not so tight that it’s hard to squeeze or reposition. It clips on easily and stays put. I had my daughter try it out on her uke, and she gave it an immediate two thumbs up.Compared to another capo we own, this one has a slightly smaller footprint, which we both saw as a plus. Overall, it works exactly as it should, looks great, and shows nice craftsmanship. A solid 5 stars.

Beautifully Built

I’m so impressed by this capo. The build and material quality is so nice. It has good weight and it works perfectly for my uke. The capo has foam that protects the neck from scratches or indentations. It is easy to install and remove. You can do it with one hand with no issues. It’s nice and thin so it fits in my ukulele’s carry case front pocket. You could even carry it in your pocket if needed.

Short version.....I love this Uke capo!!!! So very worth buying :)Long version, I only had guitar capos before. Sure, you can use them on a ukulele, but they really get in your way and make it challenging to play. It's not that you can't do your best to work around the obstruction, but wouldn't it be cool if you didn't have to?? Introducing.....a ukulele capo!! All of the functionality of a capo without any of the annoying bulk of a guitar capo. :) :) :) I should've looked for one of these and bought on a long time ago. Anyway, now I have an excellent solution moving forward. This is an excellent little capo. It is perfectly sized and did it's job well. It's also visually appealing (kind of a sexy little uke capo. I bet it has great uke capo self esteem).I'm going to buy several more as I own several ukes and want to throw it in the cases so I'll have one on hand when I'm out and about.
