Portable Guitar Stand -- One-Button Height Adjustment

This review is for the Portable Guitar StandI have many guitars, acoustic and electric. But the stands I have are not portable. This one is and that's convenient for playing out. I don't like to take a lot of equipment with me when I play out. I don't even take an amp as I can usually plug into a house system. The Taylor acoustics I play don't even need amps as they sound great natural, but they do need a stand. I usually take three acoustics with and having a portable stand is a plus. With a stand on stage, I can change guitars quickly and easier than having to take them out of the case. This is a nice stand, it's easy to set up and break down. The wide footprint keeps my very expensive guitars safe and sturdy. Highly recommended!

Fits tele

One concern with these types of stands that hold a guitar by the headstock is whether a telecaster would fit. Thankfully, this stand pivots so you can securely hold a tele. The neck support is lined with felt rather than the usual foam, so it should be safe on nitro. I'm taking a star off because the whole mechanism feels loose and does not inspire confidence. I haven't had any issues yet, but I have other stands which feature a similar mechanism but feel much better constructed with no play. It seems that the price has been reduced since I placed my order, so you get what you pay for.

This is the only stand I feel safe enough to leave my guitar on all the time

I always used to leave one of my guitars on a cushioned armchair to have it ready to play right away. Finally, I have found this stand, one that I feel confident to leave the guitar in all of the time. The weight of the guitar and gravity secure the clamps around the neck to keep the guitar from falling forward. It couldn’t anyway. The stand leans back at just the right angle to center the weight. The wide stance means you would have to actually fall onto it to knock it over, I believe. The guitar’s body rests on the two sufficiently padded front legs and as long as you put the guitar in vertically, with the headstock first, it will fall naturally onto the padded legs and is safe. Folds down for storage and it will handle most guitars and basses. A winner.

Read this if you want a safe guitar stand

I owned a guitar shop from 1985 until 2015. I've seen lots of instruments damaged by falling off a bad stand. This hanger style guitar stand from AROMA is very solid. In my experience this design is hands down the safest way to hold an instrument if you also want portability.I stocked all styles of stands in my shop but always recommended this type first. I still have several of the ones I sold and use them for my personal guitars. The brand I'm talking about now sells theirs for just under $60. I've done a side by side comparison of this one by AROMA to my other ones and can confidently recommend it.One final note, in my pics I show the proper height for the neck hanger. My opinion but the seller's pictures have the instruments hanging too high. By lowering it, you put the instrument's center of gravity in a safer position, which is the key to the stability of this design.Yes, I'm a Vine reviewer and received this stand for free in exchange for my honest review. Connecting my customers with products that would serve them well is something I really miss. That's what I'm doing here.

Great stand, works with virtually any guitar or bass

I'm very pleased with this. I have some guitar stands with the big U-shaped base that the bottom of the guitar is supposed to rest on, but that doesn't work very will with some Explorer, Flying-V, and other unusually shaped guitars. This will work with anything with a headstock (and even some headless guitars). The height is easily adjustable to accommodate virtually any bass, baritone, or electric guitar and there are little "hands" that pivot to a closed position as the weight of the guitar lower the clamp. All surfaces that touch the guitar are covered with soft foam to protect the finish. The base is very stable and the whole thing folds up quickly and easily for transport. My only concern is that it doesn't explicitly say the foam is safe for nitro finishes. Luckily most of my guitars have poly which is virtually indestructible.
